LONG-TERM VEHICLE STORAGE TIPS
Clean Your Vehicle Before You Store
Make sure to wash your vehicle and vacuum the interior before storing for long termsuccess. Sap, bugs, bird droppings and more can damage your paint if left unattended andyou do not want any crumbs inside the car drawing the attention of any critters looking for a snack.
Protect Your Tires From Flat Spots
If you have the capability, we recommend placing your vehicle on jack stands for long-termstorage to preventflat spots and possible dry spots that make driving unsafe.
Use a Car Cover
A car cover is a great addition when storing your vehicle long term to prevent dust build up,just ensure you attach correctly to the vehicle if storing outdoors to prevent the cover fromdetaching in high wind scenarios
Disconnect the Battery
It is important to disconnect your battery to make sure nothing in the vehicle accidentallydrains the battery. If you can, we recommend removing your battery to bring home to placeon a trickle charger to ensure it is always running smoothly when you return.
RV Owners: Make Sure Fuel is Shut Off
Make sure to turn offall your stove and heat valves and remove your propane tank from yourunit. Make sure to clean and drain your waste tanks as well. It’s important to leave yourvehicle in a cleanly fashion to prevent build up of unwanted materials.
